Children of the Light (CotL) is a children’s educational program in Ghana.  Their mission is to impact young lives by providing creative, holistic, child-centred education in order to build lives that influence society.  CotL has a passion to help children break out of the harsh cycle of inadequate education and poverty and grow to reach their full potential. 

They offer after-school, Saturday, and school holiday classes to the local children, the program is designed around a yearly calendar which includes international topics such as, ‘Black History Month’, ‘World Water Day’, ‘Earth Day’ and World Environment Day.  CotL is in the process of building a Learning Centre in Pepease/Peduase in the Eastern Region.  It was in May 2017 they moved the program to the centre. 

GEODRILL has played an immense part in supporting CotL since their beginning in 2005, we have provided funds for their various programs and towards the building of the Learning Centre which is still underway.  GEODRILL donated the Solar Lamps produced by ERE as one of the prizes which were given as a reward to the children for their hard-work and efforts. Furthermore, these lamps are currently there only source of light as at present electricity is not yet available at the centre.
